Lessons Learned
Learning about the Holocaust is important because it teaches you what can happen when you pick out people that you think are different from you and you bully them. The Holocaust shows that the Germans had decided that the Jews were bad and that they needed to be destroyed. If you pick on people you can develop a habit that is very bad and can lead to more serious things. I think that from what I have learned I have found even if what you are doing to other people seems harmless it can get even worse. You can start doing more mean things to people and you do not even realize that what you are doing is wrong. The Germans thought that what they were doing to the Jews was the right thing to do even though it was very wrong and cruel. If you we continue to do this there could even be another Holocaust. This is why it is important to not do all these little things like making fun of people. We should think about what we are doing. I mean would you like it if other people picked on you just because you were different? We should think about how we would feel if people did this to us. What if people tortured you because you were not the same race? These are the things that were happening to the Jews. This has been going on for hundreds of years and is still going on. I think it is up to us to stop it. We can not let this go on any longer. We need to encourage others to not make fun of people. Anne Frank was a perfect example of how we should think. She said that all people are good at heart and I agree with her. We should look for the good in every one no matter what they do. This is what I have learned from the Holocaust.
